Monika was born in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia).

In 2014, she received her BFA with an emphasis on painting from the Department of Art, Design, and Art History at the Leigh Gerdine College of Fine Arts, Webster University, St. Louis (USA). Monika is an international artist and lead designer at ELISHKO Design (www.elishko.com). 

Her artwork reflects contemporary social, religious, and cultural issues based on her personal experience. Monika does not limit herself in terms of her choice of media.  On the contrary, she experiments with new media that fit in perfectly with her ideas. 

Currently, she lives, works, and creates in St. Louis, USA. Since 2015, Monika has been a member of the Federal Association of Austrian Artists (IG Bildende Kunst) in Austria.
